Deborah A. Loewer, MSN, FNP joined the practice in August 2019. She received a master’s degree from Ohio State University as a cardiovascular clinical specialist in 1975 and taught nursing at Ohio State University for two years. She moved to the Portland area, and for the next eighteen years held a joint position as a cardiovascular clinical specialist and an assistant professor at Oregon Health Sciences University. In 1996 she received a post master’s degree certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Oregon Health Sciences University. Since then she has been practicing in the Portland area as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her subspecialties are cardiovascular disease, diabetes and mental health. However, what she enjoys most about Family Practice medicine is the opportunity to care for patients and families across multiple generations. Deborah emphasizes preventative health care and the importance of creating a partnership with patients and their families to help them reach their optimal health.

Deborah has 4 adult children. Two of her children have followed her footsteps and work as an emergency room physician and a nurse. Her hobbies are hiking with her Australian Shepherd, kayaking and traveling.
